Bruce Cohen Chief Executive Officer

As Chief Executive Officer of Wrightwood Financial, Bruce is responsible for leading all aspects of the company’s operations. Prior to forming Wrightwood Financial, Bruce was a Senior Partner in the real estate group of Ares Management, a leading global alternative asset management company. He also served as President and COO of Ares Commercial Real Estate where he oversaw more than $1 billion of investment activity.  Bruce joined Ares in 2011 upon completing the sale of Wrightwood Capital’s operating platform to Ares. During his tenure, he retained oversight of the Wrightwood Capital portfolio, as well as its third party funds, and continues in this capacity in his role at Wrightwood Financial. From its inception in 2004 until 2011, Wrightwood Capital was responsible for more than $4 billion of investment activity.

Bruce earned an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a B.A. from Tufts University. He currently serves on the boards of Wrightwood Capital, Erdman, a preeminent design-build firm focused on healthcare, and Cortland Partners a multi-family real estate investment and management firm.  He is also a member of the real estate advisory boards of Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, as well as the Tuft’s President’s Council for Tufts University, and the Board of College Possible, an organization focused on making college education possible for low income students.

David Lubar Senior Advisor

As President and CEO of Lubar & Co., David has served as lead investor and a director to numerous businesses in a wide range of  industries.  He currently serves on the board of Wrightwood Capital. David holds an M.B.A. from University of Minnesota and a B.A. from Bowdoin College.

David is a member of the Board of Directors of Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company, BMO Harris Bank, Milwaukee Brewers Baseball Club as well as many private companies.  He is or has served on the Board of several not-for-profit organizations, including Froedtert Health System, Greater Milwaukee Committee, Greater Milwaukee Foundation,  Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce, Milwaukee Jewish Federation, United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Business Advisory Council (chairman) and University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Foundation and others.

David Bauer Senior Advisor

Dave Bauer is a Partner and Chief Investment Officer with Lubar & Co. since 2005. He is involved in the private equity activities of the firm and is on the board or working closely with the portfolio of companies including American Pasteurization, Chem Design, Shared Imaging, Lake Express, Erdman, Drilltec, Rockland Industrial Products, Zero Zone as well as the firm’s real-estate investment holdings. Prior to this, he was the Chief Financial Officer for Facilitator Capital Fund, a Wisconsin-based Small Business Investment Company. He started his career with Arthur Andersen where he led the Wisconsin transaction advisory services practice.

Dave received a Master of Business Administration degree from Marquette University in 2005 and a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting in 1991. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the Wisconsin Institute of CPA’s and the American Institute of CPA’s.  In addition, Dave is actively involved with several local charitable organizations including the Milwaukee Art Museum and is an adjunct professor of corporate finance at Marquette University in their Executive MBA program.

Beth Linn Principal

Beth is responsible for the origination, structuring, and management of Wrightwood’s investments.  Prior to Wrightwood Financial, Beth was an Investment Manager with Equity Group Investments, Sam Zell’s privately held investment firm.  Beth’s experience includes roles with Helix Funds and LaSalle Investment Management.  She began her career at Prudential Financial and Capital  One Financial.  Beth holds an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a B.A. from the University of  Pennsylvania.

Ingrid Carlino Principal

Ingrid is responsible for the origination, economic analysis, transaction execution, and ongoing review of Wrightwood’s investments.  Prior to Wrightwood Financial, Ingrid worked at GE Capital Real Estate where she was responsible for over 150 valuations of the company’s highest risk holdings worth over $3.5 billion, including GE’s largest owned office portfolio. She previously managed a $1 billion troubled portfolio through the real estate downturn and successfully restructured 50%+ of responsible accounts. Her experience also includes an additional 7 years in real estate lending at Merrill Lynch Capital, Corus Bank and First American Bank. Ingrid earned a B.A. in Economics with General Honors from The University of Chicago.

Navi Sandhu Associate

Navi Sandhu is responsible for investment analysis and transaction execution. Prior to joining Wrightwood Financial, Navi worked at HFF, one of the country’s largest commercial real estate capital markets intermediaries, as part of the office investment sales team. While at HFF, she worked on underwriting and executing large CBD and suburban office asset dispositions ranging from $10 million to $1 billion. She began her career at JPMorgan Chase on the interest rate derivatives sales and trading team. Navi holds an M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a B.S.B.A from Fordham University.

Amy Smith Associate

Amy is responsible for executive support, operations, marketing & social media.   Prior to Wrightwood Financial Amy worked for Park Hill Group, where she was a Deal Assistant. In addition, Amy has spent 15 years at Citadel Investment Group as an Executive Assistant to the Chief Information Officer where she was responsible for numerous IT & design related projects.  Her experience also includes 3 years as a SQL developer.

Amy holds an AAS with a Major in Business Management from Robert Morris University and has attended the School of the Art Institute of Chicago for digital design.
